Abraxane-paclitax nab
ABRAXANE contains Drug / Molecule called “PACLITAXEL WITH HUMAN ALBUMIN” (Protein bound). It is biotechnologically derived product which combines paclitaxel with naturally occurring human protein (albumin) which could be used as injectable suspension.It uses nanotechnology (approx. 130 nm) with advantages of albumin that acts as the body's key transporter of nutrients and accumulates in tumor tissues.
ABRAXANE is an advanced taxane therapy for the treatment of breast cancer. This unique product eliminates the need for chemical solvents and allows for higher doses of paclitaxel without compromising safety and tolerability.
Indication
Abraxane is mostly used to treat breast cancer after failure of combination chemotherapy for metastaticdisease or relapse within 6 months of adjuvant chemotherapy. It is also under various stages of investigation for the treatment of cancers in non-small cell lung, malignant melanoma, pancreatic and gastric.

- Abraxane is a prescription drug and should be used under proper medical guidance and advice.
- Myelosuppression and sensory neuropathy.
- Drug in combination with gemcitabine may cause sepsis.
- Severe hypersensitivity reactions may occur.
